Demi XU was Born in China. Influenced by her father's musical passion, she began to learn violin at the age of four with Mr Pei Zhu, the former concertmaster of the ShenZhen Symphony  Orchestra. She was admitted to the ShenZhen Arts School in her fifth grade and won many awards in school. She also represented ShenZhen to perform as a violin soloist in Australia 1999. When she turned into the high school, Mrs XU studied under Prof. Pei Feng's class, got the great chance to perform the violin concerto " The butterfly lovers" as the soloist with school orchestra in 2000

In 2001, Mrs XU got in the conservatory of Music, Studying under the famous violin educator Prof Zhinuo Ding. With her love of chamber music in heart, she formed the "String"Quatettand won the first prize in the conservatory's chamber competition.
